Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 應用日語所 === 95 === Literature and music has been tightly connected since ancient times. Mr. Akutagawa Ryunosuke is the one of few writers in recent decades who has integrated Japanese traditional culture with Western culture in his work. Based on the understanding of Japanese influence on Western music during the Meiji and the Taishou eras, the thesis analyzes the correspondence illustrating his great attainments in Western music. He has very similar background in career and art development with Schubert, Beethoven and Mozart. The study aims to understand the influence of Western music on his work, especially that of his favorite operas, Salome and Carmen, where the female images in his works are also studied.
