Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 海洋環境工程研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this research are as follows (1)Investigation on the current river water quality of the Hou-Jing river (2)Investigation on the pollutants in of the river influent along the coastal area (3)Analysis on the river quality related factors through calculated total pollutant load and carrying capacity (4)Assessment on the water quality data with comparison to the data from the Ai-River and Qian-Zhen rivers. 6 onsite monitoring were carried out at the 4 monitoring points along the Hou-Jing River (June, July, Aug, Sep, Oct and Nov of 2005) and 4 water quality samplings at the 18 coastal pollution source monitoring points (Aug, Oct, Dec of 2005 and May 2006). Data analyzed including water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH value, turbidity, conductivity, opacity, nitrogen content, chlorine content, suspended solid (SS), biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and flow rate.
The laboratory testing results shows the variations in data such as the water temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, suspended solid and opacity with respect to the changes of season, weather and rainfall. The chlorine content throughout the river has exceeded the water quality standard.
The inflow waste water shows either anaerobic or oxygen deficiency property. Places with high pollution load includes H3, H8, H10, H12, H14, H18.
Places such as the H2, H4, H6, H8 H10, H12, H14, H15, H16, shows relatively higher contribution to the total pollutant on a single or multiple pollutant.
As for the carrying capacity, great differences were found with respect to the amount of pollutant and month between the upstream of the Hou-Jing River and the upstream of the Zhu-Zai-men bridge which might be a result of the sudden discharge of highly polluted waste water.
BOD, COD, turbidity and SS are items with positive correlation whereas SS and opacity are of negative correlation. The historical data on the dissolved oxygen shows a trend of gradual annual increment. In terms of BOD and COD, the BOD value shows increment in the first half of 2006 whereas COD value increase annually. The historical average of SS, nitrogen content and chlorine content are 33.8mg/L,16.6mg/L and 1.91 mg/L respectively. Comparing to the Hou-Jing river, the primary pollution source of Ai-river and Qian-Zhen river is domestic waste water which is relatively easier to treat. The water quality is expected to improve with the total damming of the waste water from the 2 rivers mentioned above.
The result above show serious pollution in Hou-Jing river with some of the pollution values exceeding the self-purification property of the river body and the carrying capacity. The Kao-Hsiung county show enhance the restoration and management of this river to prevent further damage to the biological environment.
