Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 多元文化研究所 === 95 === This thesis focuses on the experiences and introspections of three prospective teachers tutoring the so-called ‘low academic achievement’ students in Hualien. Getting the inspiration from constructs proposed by Pierre Bourdieu, I step by step find something preoccupied in my everyday thinking and behavior. In the process of interviews and self-narration, the seemingly inevitable discrepancies between what we naively take it for granted and what we actually do in reality appear gradually. Meanwhile, I try to monitor the mainstream ideological mechanisms operating in me, identify my tacit knowledge and the immanent ‘habitus’. After looking back the interviews and the experiences in the field, I finally found that the major tasks of a teacher who wishes to act multiculturally are to recognize the differences of the ‘cultural capitals’, convert the habitual thinking model, and articulate the discrepancies. In the end, some suggestions of teachers’ training programs are proposed for the future improvement.
