And traffic was the important one among external elements. By space analysis, this research wants to treat about the relationship among piscatorial economy in Tungkang and its network, harbor and the development of commercial streets function.The complementary economic function will make some production and exchange then form some different region.It expanded the industry scale and changed the piscatorial economic region in west-south coastland in 1976 as ocean to be natural resources and interior market to be hinterland.It began from 1990's, the piscatorial economic region expanded into interior plain, such as Kaohsiung-Pingtung Plain so the harbor piscatorial economy and the developments of the Central Place in commercial streets influence each other.Therefore, the development of the primary, second and the third industry and the change of the Central Place function in commercial streets were different.It concentrated in harbor in 1971’s but it moved and expanded to the new commercial streets nowadays. The pattern of the Central Plac was influenced not only by economic rule but the element of history, geography and traffic.Because of the difference of natural resources and condition, I divided this area into three regions by its property and function.They are west-south side piscatorial region that takes charge in harbor economy, central commercial region that focuses on diet, retail sale and service and east side industrial estate that focus on its traffic function.It distinguished the relationship between the centricity and the periphery in Tungkang. The function of the Central Place in Tungkang that based on population, industry, economy, history and geography influenced the function and service circle of commercial streets.Piscatorial pattern, traffic and economic scale show the complementary function of small region. And it is polarizing and integrating through chronicle changing then it restructures the accommodation about environment changing in Tungkang. It distorts the shape of the Central Place in this region and also forms the pattern of the developmenthe of the Central Place t in Taiwan harbor. It’s different from Taaffe’s theory that the piscatorial economic line will be the route to intrude the Central Plac development onto interior.
