The main purpose of this study in which a research action was adopted was to investigate how an elementary school principle, in order to further administrative affairs, led his colleague teachers to “remold a dialogue culture” by means of formulating action strategies to handle the campus conflicts among dialogues. With SWOT analysis on the school background as well as the dialogues among teachers, this research applied spiral actions in which perceptions, knowledge, actions and reflections were come up as a cycle. That is, it focuses on how one’s insights have been elevated by the process of perceiving conflicts, drafting action strategies, taking actions confronting the conflicts and then remolding him/herself thoroughly from the related dialogues, reflections and criticism.
Lasting almost five years, this research cited plenty of references concerning on low-inference measures and attended to use direct descriptions in order to present an original picture of the real situation. While in progress, three adjustments of action strategy were made in accordance with the shifts of real situations: 1.to construct organizational disciplines by means of exercising professional dialogues thus decrease irrational conflicts among dialogues, 2.to produce positive, supportive and caring dialogues and finally 3.to facilitate naturally professional teams among teachers.
Results
1. The leadership’s conducting research actions will produce dialogues in higher quality and enhance self-restraint practice.
2. To create a workable platform for dialogues will increase efficiency of communication, improve the results of dialogues and thus further teachers’ professional development.
3. Rational criticism and introspection will facilitate one’s self-awareness towards his/her professional area, improve the quality of dialogues as well as reduce the conflicts among dialogues.
4. There is a causal relationship between “dialogue culture” and “professional development.” These two facets complement each other. Therefore, no matter the school leadership or the teachers should place great importance to one’s professional development and aim to create positive dialogue culture, as positive dialogue culture will help stimulate one’s awareness towards his/her professional area.
5. To carry Teacher Evaluation into execution will, according to the result of this study, greatly improve the dialogue culture on campus and thus invigorate campus ethics.
