Abstract
When I was attending graduate school, my hometown village was moved. This is quite an event which gives me a great shock. The old village is the place where I lived and grew as a child. I cherish a deep affection for the houses and every bush and tree of it. When I saw it torn down and became a desolate scene that made me feel sorry and hate to part with it. This feeling is so strong that makes me have a desire to record all the feelings about this event.
The first chapter, Introduction, states about the motive and object, study scope and the methods of creation. Second chapter, Theory Basis, is a review of the relationship between the personal sentiment and the creations from the theoretical point of view of psychoanalysis, existentialism, super realism and image symbol. Third chapter, The Development of Creation ideas, makes clear the way of my creation through analyzing past works and thoughts. Fourth chapter, The Creation Idea and the Explanation for Works, explains the works and the creation idea. It uses four series of works, “Grief and Sorrow”, “Recollection”, “Where is the home?”, “The Hometown in Heart” to express the concept that hometown is very important to personal sentiment. And it also explains the content, style and skill used. Fifth chapter, Conclusion, says that through the reflection on the course of researching and creation, my grief assuaged and my heart cleansed become the main reward instead.
