That’s because pottery clay can give me the pleasure of creation and it has the characteristic of inspecting my personal life experience. Therefore, I hope to clearly express my creation vein by using pottery clay when I enter graduate school. This paper cuts from the angle of visual space into the creation of ceramics. Besides realizing the dream of molding, I also tests many Chinese and foreign spatial ideas in my work, such as “brightness functions as darkness” and “reverse the roles of a subject and its background”. In addition to pursuing the space that hides and changes, I decompose and reorganize the positive and negative combination. When it comes to the development of new shapes, we must consider the technology that waits to be overcome. Also, how to polish up the skill to approach their original anticipation is another key issue. I believe accumulation of experience will improve my skill. Also, attempts of using direct method and automatic record can eliminate elaborate skills, thus, the work can faithfully demonstrate footloose effects. This paper has recorded the practical way of realizing the idea of creation, including setting the subject, laying out molding shapes as well as verifying the practice of creation. Elements like the leading and supporting role's vice-disposition, matching the pro and con physique area, the proportion of color impression assignment, strengthening the quality differences, exchanging the plane surface for the three dimensional space, blending the tensity of connotation, all reflects the abundance of " positive and negative space" in ceramics. Moreover, the utilization of local resources appropriately makes the emotional connection between the work and the artist’s hometown. Finally, this research attempts to make abstract concepts of "positive" and "negative" into concrete induction. It attempts to transform the spatial positive and negative relation to the contrast of masculine and feminine elements. Then, it develops the viewpoint of androgyny from the coexistence of masculine and feminine elements. Gaining the inspiration above is by analyzing similarities and differences of various works in different media. It broadens the field of cognitive vision and helps to pursue the new creation direction. In the end, it helps to search for purer expression pattern, to truly record path of life at present stage, and to create simple but rich work.
