Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 進修部課程與教學碩士班 === 95 === The goal of this research is to investigate the student’s participation of after school studying in Hsin-chu local elementary school. The main purposes of this research are: (1)understanding the student’s participation of after school studying in Hsin-chu local elementary school.(2) Analyzing the attitude and opinion of the students in after school studying class in Hsin-chu local elementary school. (3)Discussing the difference of studying attitude in the after school studying class of gender, grade, family economy level, group and urban-rural background in different area of Hsin-chu.(4)Discussing the teacher’s existing problem and solution of Hsin-chu after school studying class.(5)According to the survey result and research, advancing suggestions and for the teacher and educational administrant making decision in the future for the after school class.
To achieve all the purpose mentioned before, this research focused on the students of elementary school student in Hsin-chu, and adopts survey research and interviews. All the subjects were selected by convenient sampling and the research based on self-organizing document, “questionnaires of the attitude and the studying situation of Hsun-chu elementary school students who participate the after school class”, and “the interview summary of study situation and problem of after school class in Hsin-chu”, focus on 26 elementary school and 510 students. All material acquired are keyed in the computer and use SPSS10.0 for windows to analyze materials. The process completes by means of statistics methods, “t-test”, “one-way ANOVA”, ‘canonical correlation” and multiple stepwise regression”. Besides, interview materials from nine teachers are concerned. The interview materials are saved in literature forms. According to the analysis of the data, this research has concluded to this conclusion:
1. Most of the after school class are scheduled after class, three to four period weekly, counselors are the school’s teacher as well, the class contents Chinese, Math., and guiding homework, the form of class are basically classified by degree level. The reason students are participating the after school class is because of they want to improve their study achievement.
2. about the after school class, students have a positive attitude, and they believe in the after school class improves their study and cause no pressure on them.
3. There is no much difference in the point of view between the student from different background, but only the forth grade student have obvious more pressure than sixth grade student.
4. The difficulty of school to arrange the after school class are: low motivation for the teacher to participate, lack of multi-class plan, different grade level of student, not enough study attitude from students, lack of treasury.
5. The right and the responsibility of the after school class must be separate clearly, center, local and school must understand the role they are playing, improving the problem of after school class in all possible division.
According to the discussion of the document and the result of the research, mentioning some advice for the educational administration, the administrator of the school, teacher and anyone who is willing to do a further research.

(1)More multi-class studying style, improve the interest.
(2)Widen the condition of application so more student can study.
(3)Inspecting and learning from other’s school who succeed in this area.
(4)Widen the treasury to build a high quality teaching group.
(5)A general review, thinking about the direction of further plan.
2.Advise for the policy of elementary school
(1)Encouragement for the teacher to build a high quality teaching group.
(2)Symposium with the parents to build the correct concept of studying.
(3)Arrange the course of the after school class, improving the teaching effect.
(4)Classify the student to teach the equal material.
3.advise for the elementary school teacher
(1)Participate actively, preserving the fairness and righteous of the society.
(2)Understand the students; build the right attitude of studying.
(3)Creativity teaching approach, to increase the study interest of students.
4.Advise for other research object, research effect and research approach, to be the consulation of the further research.
