This research is to understand the current situation of gender equality educational implementation in the elementary school of Taoyuan County, and to discuss understanding of gender equality educational implementation and Gender Equality in Education Law to teachers in the elementary school , practices of gender equality educational implementation, relevant effects of the practices to gender equality educational implementation, the predicament and improvement to practices of gender equality educational implementation.
In order to reach above-mentioned purposes , we first collect and arrange relevant documents and analyse them, to build structure of this research, and according to this structure, we made “Questionnaire of Current Situation of Gender Equality Educational Implementation in the Elementary School of Taoyuan County ”as a study tool, administrative personnel and teachers as study objects. Using method of different layer and sampling to choose 602 teachers in the Elementary School of Taoyuan County to give them this questionnaire to survey, the samples of the population of this research. 452 surveys are effective, and the proportion of those of all the surveys is 75.1%, then we use method of interview, after analysing and discussing the collective data, the research conclusion below was obtained.
Ⅰ.Understanding to Gender Equality Education and Gender Equality in Education Law.
1. For the whole concern , the understanding of Elementary School teachers to Gender Equality Education and Gender Equality in Education Law mostly thought to lie between ' understand the majority ' and ' understand partly '.
2. Teachers in the Elementary School have different understanding to Gender Equality Education and Gender Equality in Education Law due to their different sex , age , academic credentials , age and service seniority of service.
Ⅱ. Practices of Gender Equality Educational Implementation
1. Enthusiasm which the Committee of Gender Equality Education in the Elementary School operates, there is a difference because the school is different.
2. Elementary school are mostly using the diversified way “Enhancing students’ to learn self-protection methods to face sexual harassments on campus “ to keep the safely in the campus ,
3. Elementary school are mostly using the way ”Executing the practices of teachers’ studying” to develop the Gender Equality Education course. And hold publicities to students, also using “home education lecture” to publicize to their parents.
4. Most teachers will incorporate conscious of Gender Equality into practices of all kinds of field courses, and provide the experience of group interaction for male and female students to cooperative study.
5. Teachers think that stills have spaces to improve the Gender Equality Educational Implementation now.
Ⅲ.The relevant effects of Gender Equality Educational Implementation
1. The operation effects of the Committee of Gender Equality Education are different in every school, and the informations or resources that Committee of Gender Equality Education provide about Gender Equality Educational Implementation are not enough.
2. Elementary School teachers thought that has good effects in safeguarding safely in the campus.
3. Most Elementary School teachers admit that activity and relevant teaching material of Gender Equality Educational Implementation were more and abundanter than before after Gender Equality in Education Law are executed.
4. Most of Elementary School teachers understand , cooperate with carrying out the Gender Equality Educational plan ,also can construct the study environment of Gender Equality.
5. Elementary School teachers have different view of effects of Gender Equality Educational Implementation in school form each other, but most of them thought that they still have to enhance the information or ability of Gender Equality Educational Implementation.
Ⅳ, The predicament and improvement method when Gender Equality Educational Implementation is executed
1. The main predicament of the school aspect is ' Too much school business and activities would cause Gender Equality Educational Implementation to drift into inanities'.
2. When the Committee of Gender Equality Education is operating, mostly can strengthen ' Planning or executing the relevant activities of Gender Equality Educational Implementation to students, teachers, employees in school, and parent.’ and ‘Arranging the relevant resources of all units in school, and to make the plans of Gender Equality Educational Implementation '.
3. Elementary School teachers think that every office in school can provide different aid of administrations, the arrangements and activities of Gender Equality Educational Implementation should avoid to drifti into inanities.
4. Teacher's personal major predicament is ' Lacking study course and teaching material of Gender Equality Educational Implementation or relevant information to it ' and ' The chance to study the relevant course of Gender Equality Educational Implementation '.
5. The main demand of teachers is ' Schools can employ experts and scholars of Gender Equality Education to offer consultation service ' and 'Having chances to study the relevant course of Gender Equality Educational Implementation .
According to the above result of study, here offer the concrete improved suggestion in order to provide the references for the Educational administrative organ, administrative personnel of the school, and teachers to execute Gender Equality Educational Implementation and future research.
