Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === Through the employment of action research, this study aims to explore the results of both the literary reading and the reading discussion with sex dominance. The subjects participating in this study were 28 seventh-graderse in a junior high school. The curricula they took consisted of literary reading and reading discussion and were designed by the researcher. In the process of the research which had lasted for four months, they were divided into various discussion groups, sometimes boy groups and girl groups, or sometimes mixed groups. Through the observation and recordings of their learning activities, the researcher explored how gender differences had affected the learning of boys and girls by reading and discussing two juvenile novels. To achieve the above objectives, the analysis of students’ documents, the recordings of discussion, teacher’s reflection journals and observation in class were employed in the study. From the consequences of the study, the conclusions are drawn as follows: a)The contents of materials had included the characteristic of sex dominance and attracted the students’ reading interests. b)The students had learned with their sex dominance and performed sex differences in learning methods and behaviors during the curricula. c)Most of the students were satisfied with the curricula and had made changes in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. d)The teacher felt gratified with the implementation of the curricula and had made changes in teaching and the treating of both students and herself.
