The coordinative inventory management is one of the current coordination problems and has already become a major focus for companies among many supply chains. This research has studied a two-echelon supply chain system, in which a single manufacturer coordinates replenishment problems in order to solve different orders from multiple retailers. We consider ordering cost, holding cost as well as backorder cost in the system. Since the retailers allow possible backorder in the operations, the retailers’ purchase volumes will be affected by various backorder costs. The affected purchase volumes will further influence price discounts and order cycles in the system. Hence, in order to maintain the coordination, the supplier may decide to release more incentive benefits, or price discounts to the retailers. Our research has found that saving cost and saving percentage of the case with backorder are better than the case without backorder. When supplier provides different quantity discounts for retailers, retailers’ saving percentage will be the same with the percentage saving of original EOQ total cost offered by the supplier. If one of the fixed order processing cost and the variance order processing cost becomes higher, coordination of the system is easier to reach. Yu-Wen Hwang 黃郁文 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 60 zh-TW
