teachers and the affecting factors. In this study, the survey was carried out through the form of questionaire to study 416 elementary school teachers in Taichung county with a stratified random sampling method. The research tool used was “Scale of Family Life Experience Research”. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, simple-regression analysis,and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The main findings of this study are as follows:
1. The family values of elementary school teachers in Taichung county tend to be conservative.
2. The older age of elementary school teachers are, the more conservative their family values are.
3. The family values of unmarried elementary school teachers in Taichung county are more morden than those of married teachers.
4. The family values of parent-family-of-origin teachers in Taichung county are more conservative than those of the non-parent-family-of-origin .
5. The better the parental marital relationships of elementary school teachers are, the more conservative their family values are.
6. The variables,including marital status, parental marital relationships and gender of elementary school teachers in Taichung county, can predict the family values .
According to the results of the research, some suggestions to elementary school teachers, school educational workers, related organizations , and future researches are proposed.
