Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 家庭教育研究所 === 95 === Choosing mothers whose children were in their school age as participants, the purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of parenting stress on martial quality, and to explore if there are significant differences in parenting stress of participants in different background. Also, the forecast of parenting stress to martial quality was obtained. A questionnaire was used as the instrument in this survey. The sample consisted of mothers with children from elementary schools in Yulin County. 624 questionnaires were distributed, and 525 of returning questionnaires were valid. The data was analyzed in several statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way-ANOVA, Scheffé method, and multiple regression. The research results were listed below: 1.Mothers with school-age children experienced lower parenting stress. 2.Mothers with school-age children were satisfied with their martial quality. 3.No significant differences were found in parenting stress when number of children was examined. 4.A significant difference in parenting stress was obtained between family economic statuses. The higher the subjective feeling of family economic distress is; the higher the parenting stress is. 5.There were no significant differences in parenting stress of participants when type of employment was examined. 6.There were no significant differences in parenting stress of participants when level of education was examined. 7.Participants with either handicapped or ill children were small number so that a statistic analysis was invalid. Further surveys were expected. 8.A significant difference in parenting stress was found between satisfactions toward school learning of children. When it came to a lower satisfaction, the higher parenting stress the mother experienced. 9.Family economic status affected martial quality of participants through parenting stress.
