Next, the variances different background of teachers and schools were compared in this study. Finally, predictive power of elementary school teachers' work motivation on professional growth approach was analyzed. This research in nature was a quantitative study, mainly based on the questionnaire survey. “ The Elementary School Teachers' Work Motivation and Professional Growth Approach Questionnaire” was used. In this study, the samples were 404 teachers in 58 elementary schools in Changhua County, and with 384 valid feedback data. The results of the study revealed: 1. The elementary teachers' work motivation was mid-high level, and there were more “intrinsic motivation” elementary schools' teachers than “extrinsic motivation” ones in Changhua County. 2. There were four approaches of teachers' professional growth were four levels by the contents of practice. The seminar-and-observation by passive receiving approach was high level, The practice-and-output by collaborative encouragement approach was high level, The discussion-and-experience sharing by peer coaching approach was middle level, and The self-reflection-and-inquiry by individually guided approach was middle level . 3. The elementary teachers' work motivation that teachers' school of different background made no difference. The work motivation of teachers differed from different teachers' age and appointment. 4. The teachers' professional growth approach of different background of age and appointment made some differences. The teachers' professional growth approach differed from different schools' size and location. 5. There was positive correlation between teachers' work motivation and professional growth approach. 6. There was significant predictive power of teachers' work motivation on professional growth approach. Finally, based on the results of the study, some recommendations were proposed to the elementary school administration and prospective researchers.
