Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 電機工程學系 === 95 === Web-based Instruction, a product of the Internet development, is also a newfangled teaching mode. With its slogan “overthrowing traditional instruction,” it emphasizes features like “Anytime and Anywhere” and therefore has recently become a hot issue in educational circles. This paper is dedicated to the investigation of on-line learning. Currently, many on-line learning systems are available; yet they all resemble traditional teaching models and thus leave a great room for improvement. The learning of remote monitoring, for example, suffers from the lack of software and equipment for students to practice from the remote end. This study examines on-line learning of remote monitoring that integrates graphic monitoring software, LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench), and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to construct human-machine interfaces. With the development of technology, the number of people that use the Internet has been increasing. The Internet has granted a lot of convenience for students to control the laboratory computer and fulfill programming exercises through remote desktop connections from their home, as well as to observe the correctness of PLC motions via webcams. For students, this approach not only overcomes the scarcity of equipment and software at home but also enables practice beyond limitation of time and location. This research provides twelve basic programs to enhance student’s understanding of designing principles of remote monitoring and controlling system. Three complete remote graphic monitoring systems are completed, including automatic fire alarm of plants, automatic parking area management of business buildings, and traffic signal controlling of industrial parks, so as to investigate relevant technologies of remote control and monitoring system.
