Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 資訊管理學系所 === 95 === Currently, most network applications adopt HTML as the presentation mechanism. However, one of HTML’s weakness is that it is a static description language and thus it is not suitable for adaptive content description. By adaptive content description, it means that the system can generate the most appropriate contents by evaluating each user’s preference and adaptive criteria. In this thesis, we propose an XML-based adaptive multimedia presentation mechanism for e-learning system. Based on the proposed mechanism, a prototype application is developed to demonstrate the feasibility. The major feature of the application is that only a content description file is needed to generate diverse presentation contents. To investigate the feasibility and practicability of the learning contents and adaptive services, one surrey is applied to evaluate learners’ satisfaction and feedback. The results show that most learners provide positive feedback for this adaptive e-learning system and their satisfaction degree is high for adaptive course material and adaptive service.
