| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between social support and job stress among junior high school principals. Survey data were collected from 146 junior school principals in the central area of Taiwan. The descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression were used to analyze data.
The results revealed that principals received more social support and perceived less job stress than average. Male Principals’ social support and job stress were higher than female principals. Principal’s emotional and informational support was related negatively to job stress, but there was a positive correlation between substantial support and job stress. Among those predictive variables for principals’ job stress, substantial support was the most significant predictor.
