The researcher attempted to clarify the problems by using observation, questionnaires, interviews, and group discussion to collect data. In the collaborative process of the observation, teaching material collection, as well as sexuality education curriculum design, the research group went on numerous reflection, disputation, and discussion to study the efficiency of sexuality education curriculum and to modify the teaching strategies. Finally, the research provided suggestions about how to improve the teaching approaches and the study on sexuality education curriculum. The first-year students in Chen-Hsin Junior High School were chosen as the object of the study. There were four units of sexuality education curriculum and two sessions a unit in one week. The teaching activities were examined through questionnaires, classroom observation, teaching journals, interviews, and discussion . In addition, data analyses had been applied to evaluate how the sexuality education curriculum influenced the teachers’ professional development. The findings of this research were: firstly, the collaborative learning activated students’ learning motivation and the interaction among learners themselves and teachers. Secondly, the role plays helped teenagers clarify the values, and realize the seriousness of having sex to avoid negative memories or troubles. Thirdly, the use of audiovisuals such as flip charts, computers, CDs, and miniature models remarkably strengthened the students’ perception of “sexual facts.” Besides, a classroom management system of proper rewards and penalties settled the class order well and advanced the learning efficiency. Moreover, the execution of the action research enhanced the teachers’ professional development and teaching approaches through on-going reflection, examination, and problem- solving strategies.
