The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of students’ emotional intelligence, problem solving attitude and life adjustment among the commercial vocational senior high school. The research data of this study was collected by questionnaire survey. The subjects were stratified random sampling from the first, second and third grade students of commercial vocational senior high school in Tainan area. The total valid questionnaire returned were 850 and the returned rate of valid questionnaire was 89.6%.
The data was analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé method, and Pearson product moment correlation. According to the research and analysis, the results of this study shown as follows:
1.The commercial vocational senior high school students’ emotional intelligence as a whole were above the average; problem solving attitude were positive and life adjustment were not bad.
2.For the commercial vocational senior high school students’ emotional intelligence, there were no significant differences due to various sexual, grade and parents’ discipline. Otherwise, there was significant difference due to various parents’ education.
3. The commercial vocational senior high school students with different emotional intelligence have significant differences between students’ problem solving attitude and life adjustment.
4.There were significant differences between students’ problem solving attitude and life adjustment in relation to students’ emotional intelligence.
According to the above findings and conclusion, the researcher provides some suggestions as the reference for schools’ guidances, teachers, students, parents and further studies.
