The purpose of this study was to realize the science and technology learning condition of using the network in junior high school by questionnaires. The sample included 2100 junior high school students in central Taiwan. Survey date were analyzed by descriptive statistic, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation.
The conclusion of the study is summarized as follows:
1. There is significant correlation among the six aspects of the science and technology learning condition of junior high school students.
2. The network usage of junior high school students is briefly described as follows: 20.7% of the students mainly use the network for enjoyment. 19.0% of the students whose main activities in the network is play online games. Whereas, surfing the internet to do homework (11.0%) , search new information (2.9%) or self-study (2%) is in the minority.
3. The science and technology learning condition of junior high school students is briefly described as follows: The science and technology learning condition of junior high school students in Grade 1-9 Curriculum-Science and Technology Learning Areas remains steady. The Science essentiality and Technical advances aspect is better than Anticipate intelligence and Scientism.
4. The variable of the science and technology learning condition of using the network in junior high school is briefly described as follows: There are significant differences in terms of students’ learning among different network using hours, network using frequency, network using areas, reference books, family support, typing speed, purposes of surfing, online activities and browse websites.
