Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 哲學研究所 === 95 === I aim at discussing the different argument between Huineng 慧能and Zongmi 宗密for Vajracchedika Praj~naapaaramitaa-suutra in this dissertation. Especially, they stand for different opinion between religious principles and practice of Vajracchedika Praj~naapaaramitaa-suutra. The approach is that I investigate separately Huineng ''s Jin kang jing jiei《金剛經解義》and Zongmi ''s Jin Jing Shu On Prajan to Extricate《金剛般若經疏論纂要》, then we will realize the implication of “by practicing to comprehensive doctrines ”and“ by comprehensive doctrines to practice ”.This research is good for understanding the ground of sudden practice of Zen Buddhism, and Zongmi mediate between the path of cultivation and dhyana, and furthermore is a benefit to the study about the ground of sudden practice and gradual practice in Vajracchedika Praj~naapaaramitaa-suutra.
There are three essential methods in this dissertation. First, I expose these main ideas directly, and then explain some related Chinese philosophical concepts and the frame of Indian thoughts, rather than exercising the methods used in the history of philosophy. Secondly, I use the applications of philology and textual research, and then study the ground of practice and the path of cultivation by way of using the language in different context. Thirdly, I compare original works and related discourse, and then discuss the methods of the path of cultivation and of explanation of dhyana.
Finally, there are two key themes advanced in this dissertation. First, how can Huineng from enlightenment to comprehensive the sudden practice. Secondly, how can Zongmi from gradual advancement to erect the necessity of gradual practice, and then reason the sudden practice of dhyana.
