Nanomaterials possess unique chemical and physical propertyes and they are different from bulk materials. Nano-diamond (ND) is one of the unique example. In general, ND was used as grind powder in processing industries. Recently, we found that ND may possess unique fluorescence properties. Meanwhile we also found that ND may be bio-compatible particle. This material may be a good candidate in bio-medical application. Therefore in this study, we have characterized the intrinsic properties of ND and carboxyl-ND. We found that ND is a non-toxic material for bio-system. Meanwhile, NDs can be uptake freely by cell and these ND particles can be observed by fluorescence microscopy. We have synthesized a GH-ND complex and we found that this complex can be recognized by the GH receptors which located on the cell surface. Therefore, we found that these complex can be triggered to blast on the surface of cancer cell. Therefore, we may conclude that the GH-ND complex may be used in biomedical application, such as cancer therapy.
