Summary:碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this study was to probe into the cause of social proxy and self-efficacy on physical education in elementary schools. The subjects included four physical education teachers and 16 elementary school students. The observation, individual and group interviews were used to collect data. A transcript of the interviews was employed to analyze, and then, the validity was inspected by triangulation. The results included three categories: 1. social proxy: vicarious experiences, social or verbal persuasion and proxy efficacy; 2. individual factors: individual character and experience, and affective experience; 3.situational factors: environment factor, group atmosphere and familiar others presentation. Finally, some suggestions on application and future research were advanced.
