Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 運動科學研究所 === 95 === The purposes of the study is to quantify kinematical parameters of Efforts of Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) and to examine EMG activities during movements. The Time element (Sudden vs. Sustain factors), Space element (Direct vs. Indirect factors), and Weight element (Strong vs. Light factors) are all quantified. Based on LMA, eight Action Drives that are the movements easily to be identified in daily lives as well as eight contrast movements are selected for comparison. Kinematic data were collected for each movement in order to reveal parameters in Time, Space and Weight elements. LMA has been widely used in the analysis of dance and has its own research system in the field. However, most of them are qualitative studies, that is, observing movement patterns by human being’s vocal or written explanation. Because of its abstract method, it is difficult to clarify the force exertion. In this study, two scientific equipments, EMG and kinematical are used to test the quantification of Time, Space and Weight elements, therefore, useful objective data are collected and can be defined with the selected contrast factors. The subjects of the study are three female dancers trained in LMA. The Action Drives of the Efforts were analyzed by kinematics and EMG activities parameters. Only the kinematical data of upper extremity movements were used for analysis and comparison in the study.
