碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班 === 95 === This study examines what effects, if any, product collaboration design has on competency of research and development (R & D) and new product development performance in the technology industry. From past relevant research works, important factors are identified and research structure is established. This study then goes on to analyze if competency of R & D or/and product collaboration design lead to good new product development performance. Next, this study examines if any mutual effects exist between competency of R & D and collaborative product design. This study uses surveys to collect data. 400 questionnaires were distributed. 130 valid questionnaires were collected, with a returning rate of 32.5%. The study findings include: 1. R & D Competency significantly influences new product development performance. 2. Product collaborative design significantly influences new product development performance. 3 .Mutual influences exist between product collaborative design and R & D competency and new product development performance.
