Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === The purposes of this study were to: (1) understand the current situation of the sleep quality of junior high school students; (2) discover the relationships among sleep quality, negative emotion, school adjustment, and deviance of junior high school students; (3) provide some suggestions based on the findings. The sample of this study was consisted of 1,053 students from seven junior high schools in Tainan city. In this study, statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, nested regression model, and path analysis. The results revealed that: (1) the average sleep time per day was approximately seven hours. The personal sleep satisfaction of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was the highest score; the second was disturbed sleep; (2) sleep quality, external deviant behavior, and negative emotion were positively correlated; school adjustment and negative emotion were negatively correlated; (3) the sleep quality directly affected school adjustment as well as internal and external deviant behavior of samples. In addition, the sleep quality also indirectly influenced negative emotion; (4) after controlling the effects of gender and grade, sleep quality, school adjustment, negative emotion still impacted on the deviant behavior. Finally, based on the findings, we suggested that: (1) focused on the problem of students’ sleep quality and set up sleeping-problem information service in the school health center; (2) enhanced the program of sleep health education; (3) integrated to family education in order to teaching good sleep habits; (4) provided assistance to students who had the problem of sleep quality.
