Three important components of the research are as follows: 1. To understand advantages those Taiwan Normal Universities have in transformation to multiuniversities and obstacles they face. 2. To explore competitive strategies Taiwan Normal Universities adopt in the transformation process. 3. To make further suggestions for three Taiwan Normal Universities, educators and future researchers. The researcher utilizes literature analysis and interview as the methods to conduct the research. In the chapter of literature analysis, the researcher explores various factors which make three Taiwan Normal Universities transform into multiuniversities, theories and competitive strategies of higher education, and some related research. The researcher also interviewed three chief executives in National Taiwan Normal University, National Kaohsiung Normal University and National Changhua University, and utilized semi-structured questionnaire as a guideline to collect primary data. Based on interviews, the researcher has found fifteen competitive strategies those National Taiwan Normal Universities adopt in transformation to multiuniversities. The strategies are as follows: 1. To expand school original models into multiuniversities 2. To confirm the school staffs’ consciousness 3. To elect the principal with management concept 4. To construct a English learning environment 5. To encourage undergraduate research 6. To encourage whole-person development through multiple approaches 7. To design curriculum that students need 8. To combine different departments to provide credits cross different academic areas 9. To form an academic alliance with overseas universities 10. To employ faculty with practicum experience in educational and industrial fields 11. To carry out the assessment system for faculty’s research and teaching performance 12. To diminish administration rescource and to reduce faculty’ workload 13. To earn diverse financial supports as main rescource for school development 14. To enrich students’ practicum experience by cooperation with different industrial fields 15. To assist faculty to promote cooperation with industrial fields Based on literature analysis, interviews and discussions, the researcher submits implications for Taiwan Normal universities to adopt in transformation to multiuniversities and gives further suggestions for future researcher. The conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. To maintain outstanding features of universities and to create capacity for advanced development. 2. The key point of transformation success is “Human Rescource”. 3. To emphasize management of human rescource. 4. To promote students’ capabilities through comprehensive activities. 5. To improve universities’ internationalization through interaction with colleges in other countries. 6. To earn diverse financial supports is the first step for university’s independent management 7.
