The cultural heritages such as monuments, historic buildings, settlements, sites, cultural landscapes, traditional arts, folk customs and antiquities contain diverse aspects of history, culture, art and environment. They shorten the distance between peoples and them by experiencing, narrating and being educated with an interest. Therefore the cultural heritages play an important role in the domain of cultural tourism. In the trends of cultural tourism, cities and counties of Taiwan should discover more historic heritages which have deep meanings, including monuments, historic buildings, settlements, sites, cultural landscape, traditional arts, folk customs and antiquities, and to combine local cultural promotions. Such strategy will deepen the contents of the cultural tourism and encourage people to appreciate and understand the diversity of above cultural heritage. It will on the one hand preserve the cultural heritage, and enhance the quality of the cultural tourism on the other hand. This thesis, with the Culture heritage as the major subject, tries to construct the spatial experience and contexts of the cultural heritage in cultural tourism. By increasing the interests and information in the story of the cultural heritage site, tourists can learn various aspects of history, culture, art, esthetics, and environment in the process of the tour. Besides, the tendency of the second visit can be enhanced by combining leisure activities, festival, cuisines and souvenirs, etc. It will form a sustainable cycle between culture heritage and culture tourism. The thesis tries to explore more significant culture heritage and local customs in Tainan, Kaohsiung Pingtung, Matzu and to propose a network plan to revitalize their culture tourism.
