The main purpose of this paper is to estimate the benefit of debris-flow monitoring system. We used Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to estimate accurate benefit, and an in-person interview along with payment card format questionnaire. Respondents were out from Taichung’s towns having potential rivers and above 20 ages. The results can be taken as reference for policy or academic research. Results from surveys indicated that residents would pay 342 NT dollars per person per year to maintain debris-flow monitoring system. Besides, with facing higher debris-flow risk, more precisely debris-flow alarm rate, changing willingness to pay (WTP) because of different disasters, getting related debris-flow information from internet, residents will have higher WTP. 鄭蕙燕 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 59 zh-TW |
