Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 資訊科學系所 === 95 === Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are different from wired networks since it does not require any pre-established network infrastructures. In addition, The centralized network administration facility, e.g., the base stations, are also unnecessary in Mobile Ad Hoc Network. Since the hosts are moved frequently and the network topology is changed anytime, consequently, how to maintain the routing path effectively poses a great challenge. Therefore, how to design an efficient and a stable routing protocol becomes an important issue in the design of mobile Ad Hoc routing protocols. In this thesis, we propose an on-demand Ad Hoc network routing algorithm called DBRS. On the basis of Dynamic Source Routing, DBRS enhances DSR with multiple paths and alternate paths capabilities. Note that, since hosts are mobile in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, as a result, the path may become broken frequently. Consequently, when the paths were broken, DBRS can quickly recover from the path broken by our proposed multiple paths and alternate path schemes. From the simulation results, our DBRS scheme has better performance than the DSR algorithm both in Packet Loss Ratio, End-to-End Delay , Throughput and Flooding Times.
