Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 機械工程學系所 === 95 === Optimized land use of wind farm site is derived and analyzed with actual operational data, assisting in promoting future assessment accuracy and operational availability.
The mature wind power theoretical equations are used in this study to calculate “Maximum Wind Energy Conversion”, “Theoretical Calculated Power Production” and ”Measured Calculated Power Production” by using actual operational data from TaiChung wind farm during the period from May 2006 to April 2007. In addition, “Actual Power Production” obtained from SCADA is transferred into five quantitative parameters for review and analysis, which are “Power Coefficient”, “Natural Capacity Factor”, “Efficiency Factor”, “Capacity Factor”, “Usability” and etc.
For wind site assessment of TaiChung wind farm, this study uses “Predicted Power Production” obtained from feasibility report and then compared it with the power production calculated based on the conditions from the same period mentioned above. It is found that the planning “Predicted Power Production” is too conservative and therefore influents the accuracy of investment benefit. For usability analysis, the low value of ” Efficiency Factor” and “Usability” indicates that wind turbine Z72 in TaiChung wind farm doesn’t convert wind energy into electricity effectively and also has long fault time. The usability may have a growing room if the automatic yawing system, spare part supply and maintenance personnel training are significantly improved.
This study certainly provides analysis method for new wind farm project assessment and operational availability promotion from the comparison result with actual operational data of TaiChung wind farm.
