Most current surveillance systems inherited the analogue television technology. These systems did not employ modern computer technology to improve their effectiveness. These systems did not intelligently process the recorded images to obtain best picture quality. The limited storage space and obsolescent content management is also an unsolved problem in these systems.
For the purpose of managing storage and improving image quality, we propose two approaches, (1) Intelligent Storage Space Management, and (2) Image Synthesis Algorithms for Retaining Textures in Photographs of High Contrast Scenes. The approaches are expected to raise surveillance system capability and contribute to public and home securities.
