The lights emitted from a light source can be redirected to different designated directions through the design and usage of reflectors or refractors on lighting fixtures. Similar concept can be seen in an incandescent lamp with reflective coating design to improve its efficiency. Thus, the purpose of this research is to propose a sleeve for fluorescent tube lamp. This sleeve is composed of a plastic reflector and a transparent refractor to control light distribution and density. The photometric data of various kinds of fluorescent lamps(10W, 20W, 40W) and those with sleeves in different light angle(0°, 45°, 90°) was tested and recorded by a goniophotometer to produce their luminous intensity distribution curves, and then those data was imported to lighting simulation software to evaluate the effects of the tube lamp sleeves. The results indicate that the usage of a sleeve may enhance the luminous intensity of a tube fluorescent lamp (nearly 80% increment). In addition, the simulation results from a lighting design software demonstrate the adoption of sleeves may increase the horizontal illumination levels of the indoor space. 汪孝慈 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 111 zh-TW
