碩士 === 明道大學 === 教學藝術研究所 === 95 === The study examined the prediction power of parental attitudes toward sex education, preschoolers’ concept of sexuality development, and, hence, explored parental influences on them. Questionnaire survey and face-to-face interview methods were employed to collect data. One hundred and forty nine preschoolers, between 3 and 6 years old, and their parents, were randomly selected from Taichung municipal nursery school to participate this research. All data were analyzed by SPSS for Windows12.0 software. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, path analysis and Chi-square test modules were used to analyze collected data. The results are as follows: 1. Mother is the key person to implement preschoolers’ sex education at home; both boys and girls accept equal opportunities to receive sex education. 2. The preschoolers’ parents have positive sex education attitudes toward their kids sex education as a whole; however, the attitudes differ in term of their educational backgrounds. 3. Preschooler’s age is the key factor that influences concept of sexuality development. 4. Parental social economic status has a positive and direct influence on their sex education attitudes; furthermore, the age of preschoolers and their parents’ age also show positive and direct influences on preschoolers’ concept of sexuality development. 5. Preschoolers generally have stereotype of sexual roles; both boys and girls sex role development seem well fit the social expectancy. 6. Preschoolers have existed cognitive deficit and various thoughts toward concept of sexuality of life origin. The preschoolers’ concept of sexuality development stage is compliance with the principle of Piaget’s pre-operational stage cognitive development model.
