The main material of this research is the elementary school Mandarin language Teacher Manual published by Kang Chien Cultural Education Publisher in Taiwan and People’s Publisher in Mainland. This research adopts literature analysis method and comparative method of G. Bereday to conduct research. The research is conducted in four separate stages including description, explanation, juxtaposition and comparison. Textbooks, research reports, books and publications, homepage information and education formation relevant to Mandarin language curriculum in Taiwan and Mainland are collected as reference information. In addition, letters and site interview are utilized to exchange research gains with language education personnel in Taiwan and Mainland China. The first two chapters of this research are introduction and literature review. Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 separately describe and explain the teaching strategy of Mandarin language for the elementary school year 1~3 in Taiwan and Mainland China. Chapter 5 uses the juxtaposition and comparison method to analyze the similarities and differences of the teaching strategy of Mandarin language of the cross-straits. The final chapter presents certain research findings and revelations as the reference to the related authorities and further researchers.
