Internal conditions comprised the relational context between a subsidiary and headquarters, and a subsidiary’s capability. External conditions were about a subsidiary‘s industry conditions. We utilized internal and external conditions to examine which factors will influence foreign subsidiary role in new product development autonomy. Our sample was Taiwanese MNCs and collected 108 usable questionnaires from electronics and traditions industry. By applying Regression Analysis to examine our hypotheses. Findings of this research indicated that cooperation and vertical dependence of the headquarters-subsidiary relationship, knowledge stock and corporate entrepreneurship of a subsidiary’s capability, technological turbulence of a subsidiary‘s industry conditions were influence foreign subsidiary role in new product development autonomy. Finally, if new product of decision role in headquarters and subsidiary relationship could fit with environment conditions, the performance will be great.
