Description
Summary:碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 資訊科技應用研究所 === 95 === Recently, consumer behavior change with the assistant of information technology. Logistic corporations must provide more better and convenient service to satisfy consumers. Therefore, traditional logistic managements are needed to provide new innovations follow by the technology trend. Distribution center is the one of the most important stage of the logistic process. It is important for distribution center to plan workflow and advance effective for order picking system. In a synchronized zone order picking system, all the zone pickers fulfill process the same order simultaneously. There may be some idle time when the zone pickers wait until all the pickers complete the current order. This research develops a heuristic algorithm based on support and confidence of associated rule for item assignment. Items with high correlation are assigned to separate zones. Total pick times for each zone is calculated to balance the workload among all pickers so that the utilization of the order picking system is improved and to reduce the time needed for fulfilling each requested order. Sensitivity analysis about zone number adjustment is made. That is which zone is reduced during slack periods and how to move items to new added zone during peak periods are explored. Finally, empirical data verifies that the performance of the method.
