So requirements of problem create a micro hydroelectric power plant which is a simply technology and easy to control. It is applied in developing countries such as Vietnam. The first objective of this thesis is the development of a turbine of the micro hydroelectric power plant. This work calculates the chain turbine based on the calculation of the gross head of 20m and the flow rate of 1m3/second. The second objective presents of a micro hydroelectric power plant governor. The input power of micro hydro plant is controlled by a servo control valve. This is to show how to eliminate the frequency deviations due to load disturbances for different nominal loadings of the system. This load control (LC) micro hydropower plant is suitable to invest in developing country such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and so on. Although, efficient of chain turbine is low, it has many advantages like no danger of cavitations or turbidity water. Pelton turbine cannot operate under this condition.
