Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 機械與精密工程研究所 === 95 === The management of internal messaging in the traditional manufacturing industries in Taiwan has faced severe challenges resulted from the rapid changing global competitive markets and environment. In order for enterprises to keep competitiveness effective internal messaging system has become one of the key technologies.
Traditional manufacturing industries had been expected to benefit from the use of Internet and IT technologies that are characterized with geographically distribution and without time limitation. This would enable important messages to be exchanged and communicated more quickly and efficiently.
The major goal of this research was to develop a web-based message management system and verified with an industrial case study in enhancing the messaging system than original paper document based working process. A detailed survey was conducted via interviews with the cooperated company's related personnel to organize the complex and nonstandard process flows. UML was used to analyze the workflow of the cooperated company's messaging system underlying object-orientated concept.
Eventually, an internal web-based manufacturing information system was developed and implemented in the company. This allowed every functional department to coordinate smoothly and to record related ordering information and manufacturing information synchronously. The developed system also reduced the time of acquiring information among functional departments. This development had also improved the company's paper-based drastically.
