This experiment shows that G.655 optic fiber network without EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) in which 1550nm wavelength light transmits 43 kilometers has better BER (Bit Error Rate).The characteristics, such as chromatic dispersion, eye diagram and Bit Error Rate, are discussed with both G.652 traditional single mode optic fiber and G.655 (Non-Zero Dispersion Shifted Fiber) for with DCF and without DCF, respectively.
