The materials utilized here were classified two major categories. The first category (Part I) is the additional type of polyimide. Two monomer, BMI (1,1’-(methylened- 4,1-phenylene)-bismaleimide) and BMIP (2,2-bis(4-(4 maleimido phenoxy) phenyl propane), were chosen for the UV cure behavior studies in this category. The second category (Part II) is the condensation type of polyimide. A polyamide acid (PAA) was preliminarily synthesized by the ODA(4,4-Oxydianoiline) and PMDA (Pyromellitic dianhydride), subsequently imidized by UV light to form the polyimide. One kinetic equation containing reaction order(n), photointensity(Q), energy barrier for photoinitiation (EQ), photoinitiator concentration (I) , reaction temperature (T) and apparent activation energy(Ea) was successfully derived as follows. The first category (Part I) is the additional type of polyimide. Two monomer, BMI (1,1’-(methylened- 4,1-phenylene)-bismaleimide) and BMIP (2,2-bis(4-(4 maleimido phenoxy) phenyl propane), were chosen for the UV cure behavior studies in this category.
The second category (Part II) is the condensation type of polyimide. A polyamide acid (PAA) was preliminarily synthesized by the ODA(4,4-Oxydianoiline) and PMDA (Pyromellitic dianhydride), subsequently imidized by UV light to form the polyimide.
One kinetic equation containing reaction order(n), photointensity(Q), energy barrier for photoinitiation (EQ), photoinitiator concentration (I) , reaction temperature (T) and apparent activation energy(Ea) was successfully derived as follows.
