In this thesis, we report a practical method to synthesize 2-phenylbenzothiazoles, bis(benzylidene-4-nitrobenzeneamine)-1-disulfide via the intramolecular cyclization and intermolecular dimerization respectively, of thiobenzamides using CAN in acetonitrile.
