Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 電子工程學系碩士班 === 95 === In this study, a doped electron transporting layer is utilized in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and the optical and electrical characteristics of device are improved. Additionally, many different analyses of the doped electron transporting thin film are being done to check the results of devices’ performance.
Li was doped into Alq3 as a doped electron transporting layer (DETL). When Li doped ratio is 50 % in the doped electron transporting layer, the luminance and luminous efficiency of OLEDs are about 5450 cd/m2 and 5.25 cd/A, respectively (at 100 mA/cm2). Moreover, by many different physical and chemical analyses, we find the performance of OLEDs is indeed influenced by the doped electron transporting layer.
Finally, we also demonstrate the doped electron transporting layer of Li-doped Alq3 is a necessary component for the enhancement of electroluminance efficiency of a stacked OLED. Compared with a conventional OLED, the luminous efficiency of a stacked OLED with doped electron transporting layers can be improved from 5 cd/A to 13 ~ 18 cd/A at 30 mA/cm2.
