Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 材料科學與工程學系碩士班 === 95 === The study is to investigate the influence of various carbon fiber preform and carbonization/heat treatment temperature on the physical, mechanical, anti-oxidation and tribological properties of carbon/carbon composites fabricated through the liquid infiltration of coal tar pitch and TEOS/Boehmite sol-gel.
The results indicated that the specimens processed at a higher carbonization/heat treatment temperature not only had higher open porosity and hardness but also had better oxidation resistance and tribological performance. The specimen only densified with coal tar pitch at 1300℃ exhibited the highest bulk density, hardness and flexural strength. The specimen only densified with TEOS/Boehmite sol-gel at 1300℃ exhibited better oxidation resistance performance. Furthermore, the specimen with SiC composition addition exhibited the highest friction coefficient during wear test.
In terms of bulk density, open porosity, hardness, oxidation resistance and tribological performance, the CS-1300 specimen that infiltrated with coal tar pitch and TEOS/Boehmite sol-gel in turns, then carbonized at 1300℃ demonstrated the greatest application potential.
