Besides the pap smear screening program, human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine is also an effective preventive strategy. Now, HPV vaccine has launched on market, and whether want to vaccine or not is the most important factor to the control effect. The aim of this research is to understand what the intention of HPV vaccine among the adolescent girls in Central Taiwan. Furthermore, exploring the related factors to vaccination intention. Cross-sectional study and purposed sampling was conducted, and 854 subjects were included. Collecting their demographic variables, the perception of susceptibility and severity of cervical cancer, the action cue about HPV vaccine, the benefits and barriers of vaccine, and the intention of HPV vaccine. Structured questionnaire was designed(CVI = 80% ~100%;Cronbach’s α=.7964 ). After collecting data, then SPSS 10.0 for analysis. The results show :(1) In vaccination intention, there are 67.4% girls willing to pay and 95.6% will be agreed vaccination if it is free. (2) Controlling others variables, “the barriers of vaccine” and “ the economic status of family” are significant with the pay for the vaccination intention, that is the less of barriers, the more intention to vaccine; the economic condition can pay for the need of life versus sometimes good or sometimes worst has more intention to vaccine. (3) Controlling others variables, “the susceptibility of cervical cancer” and “the benefits and barriers of HPV vaccine” are significant with free the intention of vaccination. It means, when cases perceived high susceptibility of cervical cancer, the more benefits and the less barriers of HPV vaccination then the higher intention of vaccination to get free. According to this results, providing the data of HPV vaccine by appropriate health units in the future. Tsai-Hsiu Chang 張彩秀 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 102 zh-TW
