Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 應用統計學研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this study is to understand the causal relationship among self-rated health status, health behaviors and medical resource utilization for senior citizens in Taiwan. The theory is based on Andersen's Generic behavior model of health service utilization, and the researcher used AMOS to confirm models. The database is combined from the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) by a principal diagnosis of stroke (ICD-9-CM codes and DD-9-CM) and the National Health Interview Survey records in 2001. This study consisted of 2,228 subjects. The result indicated that the elderly population in Taiwan health service utilization behaviors was fit in with Andersen's Generic Behavior Model of health service utilization stage 3 partial relationships. It means that health service utilization can benefit one’s health behaviors and improve one’s self-rated health status in cognition.
