Data are collected from 100 Chinese and 100 Kalmyk native speakers by means of questionnaires and interviews and supplemented by literature reviews. The data are then synthesized and classified into categories and subcategories. It is found that cultural factors cause more differences than similarities and certain universal, psychological, physiological reasons cause more similarities than differences.
