碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 宗教學系 === 95 === Application of Religious Symbols in Energy Medicine Abstract The purpose of the thesis is to find out the influence of religions upon human bio-energy, to analyze the release for negative energy of the so-called emotional stress in view of different religious symbols or signs, to explore the reactions of a follower of a religion toward religious symbols of other religions, and to confirm whether religious symbols are able to cooperate with the so-called energy medicine in modern medicine, so as to contribute to human health and medicine. The present research is accomplished with Hermeneutic Phenomenology, Comparison with Observation and In-depth Interview. The item, “Emotional Stress”, for mental inspection provided in “COMPUTRONIX ACUPRO II” is utilized as the basis for the comparison with energy of religious symbols. Based on steps of analyzing preliminary measurement results, re-arranging data, correcting research directions and re-designing research procedures, the research is formally developed. With reference to the research, energy information of different religious symbols is guided into human bodies through acupressure-point measurement loop with “Drug Test” of “COMPUTRONIX ACUPRO II”. In the “double-blind design”, the physical reactions of different religious followers toward one religious symbol are observed, and the experimental result shows that negative energy resulting from emotional stress of a human body can be released. Based on the intersection analysis and comparison between the results of the “non- double-blind design” and the “measurement after 1 minute”, it is understood that religious belief of human is with the characteristics of “Cooperation” and “Ambiguity”. Since every religion tolerates and cooperates with one another, the attitudes of people toward religious belief, e.g. religious practice or religious medicine, are digested and absorbed under the field of “Cooperation” and “Ambiguity” to have influence upon themselves. On the basis of the abovementioned theory, a simple, instant and effective self-healing method for releasing emotional stress is provided. With this method, religious symbols will be effective in the field of energy medicine such that people can relax and keep physical and mental health themselves, which is thus helpful to the energy medicine theory and to missionary medicine and Buddhist medicine.
