碩士 === 佛光大學 === 公共事務學系 === 95 === This research utilized Taipei City’s junior high school teachers as targets of study, and analyzed this group’s political alienation through using the statistics questionnaires. This study hoped to obtain a preliminary understanding of the major causes of Taipei City teachers’ political alienation, and to provide a reference for future political alienation related researches. The research tools used were based on the "Scale for Causes of Political Alienation" designed by Yih-Jiun Liu and Ting-Chung Wang from Fo Guang University, and "Integrated Indicators of Political Alienation” used by Huo-yan Shyu. The survey was conducted in 11 public junior high schools: Li-Shan, Shi-Hu, Shih-Lin, Ge-Zhi, Chang-An, Bin-Jian, Jen-Ai, Ming-Chu, King-Hing, Bei-Cheng, and Chen-Cheng. A total of 572 valid questionnaires were collected back from teachers in these junior high schools. Based on the results of questionnaire, resulted from the statistical data analysis of this study, the main findings are as follow: 1.Taipei City junior high school teacher's overall political alienation is on the strong side. 2.Viewing political alienation from the point of view of its cause, Taipei City junior high school teachers are alienated from politics mainly because of political isolation and political powerlessness. 3.According to the "Scale for Causes of Political Alienation", it can be seen that Taipei City junior high school teachers political alienation appears to have a bimodal distribution. 4.Through analysis of individual factors, it was discovered that age, education level, and teacher seniority would affect Taipei City junior high school teachers’ political alienation. 5.Both "Scale for Causes of Political Alienation" and "Integrated Indicators of Political Alienation" have consistency and relevance, which in turn indicates the validity of this questionnaire.
