Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 環境工程與科學所 === 95 === For unifying the damage demand and mark of the chemistry and material safety data sheets around the world, a resolution had been passed by United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) and Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety(IFCS) in 1992. The resolution suggested the harmonized work of the chemical classification and a univeral system of labelling of chemicals. Thus, Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals is established by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD), The United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods(UNCETDG) and International Labour Organization(ILO). They were encouraged to implement the GHS fully operational by 2008. The standards and demands of Classification and labelling of chemicals are more strict than used current system Taiwan. The objects of GHS are applied not only to the employers and labors but also to consumers, transporter and emergency member. As well chemicals including food, medical use, cosmetic, and insecticides are required to implement the GHS in Taiwan. Thus, the government need to collect information about physical characteristic, chemistry characteristic, toxicity, health damage and environmental damage according to the GHS. The present thesis, study the system of classification and labelling of chemicals by GHS. The related study is to compare with the difference system of classification and labelling of chemicals for finding so as to adjust system according the GHS. According to other aspect of the present research, a database is provided. The information of the database was collected from several international chemistry webs or database. The information mainly focus on health and environmental damage.
